With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create a few new games this year that are good for some St. Patrick’s Day fun without a lot of prep – because I know people have a lot going on, I mean with processing that it’s March again and all. I’ve shared lots of different St. Patrick’s Day games in the past but none quite like this one....
Ever since I made these St. Patrick’s Day pot of gold cupcakes, I’ve been obsessed with making “surprise” baked goods. And when I say surprise baked goods, I mean ones that you open up and find something you weren’t expecting to find. Kind of like my green velvet cupcakes (or the previously mentioned St. Patrick’s Day ones). It’s kind of like a piñata – you have to break it open to see what fun is hidden inside!...
Danger Word Game So I’m a huge fan of the show Ellen’s Game of Games because first off, I adore Ellen, and second I love all of the games. It might be one of my life goals to get on that show but that’s a story for a different day! This danger word game is a Harry Potter inspired version of one of my favorite games from that show. The basic idea is that you have to get your team to guess a particular word by giving one word clues, and you can’t have them guess the danger word or the other team wins that round....
One of our favorite Easter traditions is decorating Easter eggs but instead of just doing the regular Easter egg dying this year (we’re doing that too), I thought it’d be fun to use decoupage napkins to make some pretty decorative Easter eggs to put around the house too! While these look like they may be complicated, they’re actually really easy to make – I just recommend having an adult cut out the little pieces of napkin before letting people add on the pieces to their eggs!...
Normally this time of year when Cinco De Mayo rolls around, I realize that I again haven’t done anything fun to celebrate. But not this year – this year I’m making this Mexican charcuterie board with all of our favorites. Next year I’ll probably go back to making Mexican nacho bar, but I’m a bit obsessed with charcuterie boards right now. This Mexican board may be one of my favorite boards I’ve made yet just because it includes a bunch of my favorite foods all in one place....
You’ve all heard or been asked the question, if you had to choose your last meal, what would it be right? For me, the answer is always the same. My last meal would be pizza loaf and striped delight. It might be for nostalgic reasons because those are both classic recipes my mom has been making my entire life, and I associate them with all the good things in my childhood....
